This is another article on this site on Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) and this one focuses on the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) (Hadith) unlike the previous one which focused only on the word of God Almighty (Qur’an). Other than Muslims, the previous article was meant mainly for Ahmadis/ Mirzais/ Qadianis/ Parvezis/ Ghamdis etc but especially for Parvezis who reject Hadith altogether.

The article will be divided into four parts. Part one would have my points (Muslim) put forward and explanations given whereas part two would have cultist points and my responses to them, part three would have the cultist explanations to my points and my counter responses to them and part four simply summarizes the entire article.

For my points (Muslim) majority of the references are from Bukhari and Muslim whereas accurate explanations to Sahih Hadith from other books shall also be provided in part two (if argued upon by the cultists). Relying on weak narrations is the job of the hypocrites which you shall see in part two.

Before we continue, let me bring to the attention of the readers that Mirzais argue that there are two Messiahs which Muslims reject completely. There is no Messiah other than Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) son of Mary as proven below.

Part 1

Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 34, Number 425

Narrated Abu Huraira that Allah's Apostle said:

By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, son of Mary (Jesus) will shortly descend amongst you people (Muslims) as a just ruler and will break the Cross and kill the pig and abolish the Jizya (a tax taken from the non-Muslims, who are in the protection, of the Muslim government). Then there will be abundance of money and no-body will accept charitable gifts.

Volume 4, Book 55, Number 657

Narrated Abu Huraira that Allah's Apostle said:

By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it.

Abu Huraira added

If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- 'And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e. Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness Against them. (Qur’an 4.159)

(See Fateh Al Bari, Page 302 Vol. 7)

Volume 4, Book 55, Number 658

Narrated Abu Huraira that Allah's Apostle said:

How will you be when the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and he will judge people by the Law of the Qur’an and not by the law of Gospel.

(Fateh-ul Bari page 304 and 305 Vol 7)

Sunan Abu Dawud Book 37, Number 4310

Narrated Abu Huraira that the Prophet said:

There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus (peace be upon him). He will descend (to the earth). When you see him, recognize him: a man of medium height, reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizya. Allah will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die. The Muslims will pray over him.

After his descension on earth, Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will marry. He will have children, and he will remain on earth 19 years after marriage. He will pass away and Muslims will perform his Janaza Salaat and bury him net to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). (Tirmidhi)

Please note that the man to come will descend and not be born to a woman. He is called as “son of Mary” and is the same Jesus and not a new one born again or reincarnated. Also note that he will judge by the law of Qur’an and not Gospel which means that he previously judged from the Gospel. Rejecters of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) do not believe in such a way of coming and do present some verses for their claim. However, if we examine these verses, we see that their own points refute them. This is quite a lengthy discussion which can be read here. The first heading “Jesus is taught the Qur’an” covers this and the point of Ibne Mariam as well.

"There is no prophet between me and him (i.e. Jesus Christ), and he shall descend. So, recognize him when you see him. He is a man of medium height, of ruddy and fair complexion; he will be dressed in two yellow garments; the hair of his head will appear as though water was going to trickle down from it, whereas it will not be wet. He will fight people in the cause of Islam, will break the Cross and kill the swine and will abolish jizyah; and Allah will put an end to all communities in his time except Islam; and he will slay the Antichrist (Dajjal); and he will stay in the world for 40 years; then will die and the Muslims will offer the funeral Prayer for him." (Abu Da'ud and Ahmad).

This Hadith very well explains that the same Jesus son of Mary is to return and not a new man born to someone else.

"In the mean time when the Dajjal will be busy doing this and this, Allah will send down Messiah son of Mary, and he will descend in the eastern part of Damascus, near the white minaret (tower), dressed in the two yellow garments, with his hands resting on the arms of two angels. When he will bend down his head, water drops will appear trickling down, and when he will raise it, it will appear as though pearl--like drops are rolling down. Any disbeliever whom the air of his breath reaches--and it will reach up to the last limit of his sight will fall dead. Then the son of Mary will go in pursuit of the Dajjal, and will overtake him at the gate of Lod, and will kill him." (Muslim, Abu Da'ud: Kitab, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah).

After his descension on earth, Jesus (peace be upon him) will marry. He will have children, and he will remain on earth 19 years after marriage. He will pass away and Muslims will perform his Janaza Salaat and bury him next to the Prophet of God (peace be upon him).

(Tirmidhi)

By Him Whose Hand is my life, the son of Mary (Jesus) will certainly invoke the name of God for Hajj or for Umrah, or for both, in the valley of Rawha. (Sahih Muslim)

"It [the Day of Judgment] will not come until you see ten signs," and [in this connection] he mentioned the smoke, the Dajjal, the Beast, the rising of the Sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary… (Sahih Muslim)

By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, son of Mary [Jesus] will shortly descend amongst you people as a just ruler. (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Jesus son of Mary would then descend and their [Muslims'] commander will invite him to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say: No, some amongst you are commanders over some [amongst you]. This is the honor from God for this Ummah [nation]. (Sahih Muslim)

What the companions of The Prophet believed

The following are from Harun Yahya.

-Referring to Qur'an 3:46, Ibn Zayd said: "Jesus (pbuh) spoke to people while he was still in the cradle. When he kills the Antichrist, he will speak to people as an adult."107
-'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas said about Qur'an 4:159: "This verse is proof that Jesus (pbuh), son of Mary, will appear … All of the People of the Book will believe in him before his death."108
-Muhammad ibn 'Ali Abi Talib (also known as Ibn Hanafiyya), explained Qur'an 4:159 in these terms: "He will descend before the Day of Judgment. All Jews and Christians will believe in him."109
-Qatada expounded on the same verse, as follows: "When Jesus (pbuh) descends, all religions will believe in him and he will bear witness for them on the Day of Judgment."110
He stated about Qur'an 43:61 thus: "The appearance of Jesus (pbuh) is an indication of the Day of Judgment."111
-In explaining Qur'an 4:159, Abu Muhammad al-Madani said: "When Jesus (pbuh) descends to Earth, he will slay the Antichrist, and no Jew who does not believe in him will be left on Earth."112
-Al-Hakam ibn 'Amr al-Ghifari explained Qur'an 4:159 in the following words: "At the moment when Jesus (pbuh) son of Mary descends, all of the People of the Book will believe in him."113
-Al-Hasan al-Basri made the following comment: "I swear to God that Jesus (pbuh) is at this moment alive in God's presence, and that everyone will believe in him when he returns." With regard to Qur'an 4:159, he said: "God raised Jesus (pbuh) to His presence. He will send him before the Day of Judgment as a holder of rank. Good and bad, all will believe in him."
He also made a similar comment regarding Qur'an 43:61, saying that the meaning of the verse was that Jesus (pbuh) would return to Earth.115
-On the same subject, Ibn 'Abbas said: "In Qur'an 43:61, God indicates that Jesus (pbuh) will appear before the Day of Judgment."116

Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 6924

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:

The Last Hour would not come until the Romans would land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best of the people of the earth at that time will come from Medina (to counteract them). When they will arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans would say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them; and the Muslims would say: Nay, by Allah, we would never get aside from you and from our brethren that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army would run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third (part of the army). which would be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah's eye, would be killed and the third who would never be put to trial would win and they would be conquerors of Constantinople. And as they would be busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, the Satan would cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your family. They would then come out, but it would be of no avail. And when they would come to Syria, he would come out while they would be still preparing themselves for battle drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus (peace be upon him) son of Mary would descend and would lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah would see him, it would (disappear) just as the salt dissolves itself in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely, but Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ).

This Hadith has a slight mistake from the narrator. The Prophet asked the companions whether they know of the land surrounded by water and land and the companions understood it to be Constantinople whereas it was some place in Europe as said directly by the Prophet in Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 6930 which clearly says that the killing of Dajjal would be after the conquest of Rome.

Said the Holy Prophet PBUH:

"You will invade the Arabian Peninsula and God will grant it. Then Persia and God will grant it. Then you shall invade Ar-Rum (Europe) and God will grant it. Then you shall attack the Antichrist and God shall give him to you"The Messenger of God was then asked "which of the two cities will be conquered first - Constantinople or Rome?" and the Holy Prophet PBUH replied : " The city of Heraclius (Constantinople) will be conquered FIRST"

This shows that the conquest of Constantinople and Rome are different. The majority of the people of this army would be from Khorasan belonging to bani Isra’il (western Pakistan and eastern Afghanistan):

Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 6979

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle (may peace he upon him) saying:

You have heard about a city the one side of which is in the land and the other is in the sea. They said: Allah's Messenger, yes. Thereupon he said: The Last Hour would not come unless seventy thousand persons from Bani lsra'il would attack it. When they would land there, they will neither fight with weapons nor would shower arrows but would only say:" There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest," that one side of it would fall. Thaur (one of the narrators) said: I think that he said: The part by the side of the ocean. Then they would say for the second time:" There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest" that the second side would also fall, and they would say:" There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest," that the gates would be opened for them and they would enter therein and, they would be collecting spoils of war and distributing them amongst themselves that a noise would be heard and It would be said: Verily, Dajjal has come. And thus they would leave everything there and would turn to him.

The explanation to this Hadith is quite long and will take a lot of space if posted here. A detailed explanation can be read here. This link is a must see and will clarify a lot of current world issues.

However, one question might arise as to how the people of Afghanistan be able to get into that commanding position; their current position is quite bad.

Iran is about to be attacked and they have seen what has happened to Iraq. They are not going to watch their country get destroyed. Perhaps, they would attack the invading military bases in nearby lands. Another possibility is that in a Hadith, our Prophet said that three armies would be sunk.

Three major armies will sink into the earth: one in the east, one in the west, one in Arabia.

The army to sink in Arabia would be the one that would have come to attack the Mahdi. It appears that the army to sink in the East would be in Afghanistan after which the bani Isra’ilis (Pathans) would gather an army towards the western direction led by the Mahdi.

Huzafa narrates that Mohammed (PBUH) said:

"Qiyamah will not come till you see ten signs, which are: Smoke which spreads throughout the East and West for forty days; Dajjal; Da'aba, a four-legged beast of the length of 60 yards. He will have the stick of Musa [Moses] and ring of Sulaiman [Solomon]. In running he will have no equal. He will strike Mu'min with Musa's stick and will mark the word Mu'min on his face and similarly put the stamp of Kafr [Star of David] on the face of the Kafr; Rising of the sun from the West; Descent of Isa ibn Maryam [Jesus]; Juj and Majuj [Gog and Magog]; Sinking of the earth at three places, East, West, and Arabian Gulf; Fire which will emanate from one side of Aden and drive the people to Hasr.

Please note: The signs are not in order.

Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 6925

Mustaurid al-Qurashi reported:

I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:

The Last Hour would come (when) the Romans would form a majority amongst people. 'Amr said to him (Mustaurid Qurashi): See what you are saying? He said: I say what I heard from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). Thereupon he said: If you say that, it is a fact for they have four qualities. They have the patience to undergo a trial and immediately restore themselves to sanity after trouble and attack again after flight. They (have the quality) of being good to the destitute and the orphans, to the weak and, fifthly, the good quality in them is that they put resistance against the oppression of kings.

Book 041, Number 6927

Yusair b. Jabir reported:

Once there blew a red storm in Kufah that there came a person who had nothing to say but (these words): Abdullah b. Mas'ud, the Last Hour has come. He ('Abdullah b. Mas'ud) was sitting reclining against something, and he said: The Last Hour would not come until the people divide in- heritance and rejoice over booty, and then said pointing towards Syria, with the gesture of his hand like this: The enemy shall muster strength against Muslims and the Muslims will muster strength against them. I said: You mean Rome? And he said: Yes, and there would be a terrible fight and the Muslims would prepare a detachment (for fighting unto death) which would not return but victorious. They will fight until night will intervene them; both the sides will return without being victorious and both will be wiped out. The Muslims will again prepare a detachment for fighting unto death so that they may not return but victorious. When it would be the fourth day, a new detachment out of the remnant of the Muslims would be prepared and Allah will decree that the enemy should be routed. And they would fight such a fight the like of which would not be seen, so much so that even if a bird were to pass their flanks, it would fall down dead before reaching the end of them. (There would be such a large-scale massacre) that when counting would be done, (only) one out of a hundred men related to one another would be found alive. So what can be the joy at the spoils of such war and what inheritance would be divided! They would be in this very state that they would hear of a calamity more horrible than this. And a cry would reach them: The Dajjal has taken your place among your off- spring. They will, therefore, throw away what would be in their hands and go forward sending ten horsemen, as a scouting party. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: I know their names and the names of their forefathers and the colour of their horses. They will be best horsemen on the surface of the earth on that day or amongst the best horsemen on the surface of the earth on that day.

Syria would be the place where the large Roman army would gather. Muslims would have gathered in Madina from where they would come out and fight them.

Abu Nadhrah says: "We were sitting in the company of Jabir bin Abdullah (R.A.) when he said: 'Soon the people of IRAQ will neither receive any food (grain) nor any money.'" We asked, "Why would such a thing happen?" He replied, "Because of the non-Arabs." (i.e they will prevent food from going into Iraq, in the form of "sanctions" to this day.) He then said: "Soon the people of Shaam (SYRIA) will neither receive any money nor grain." We asked as to why this would happen. He replied: "Because of the Romans (Christians)."

As per the Hadith, Syria is about to be attacked and invaded; Iraq has already been attacked and invaded.

Before the large fight between the Romans and the Muslims (Armageddon), there would be a fight that Christians and Muslims would fight together against a common enemy. According to Shah Wali Ullah, that common enemy would be Russia. According to him, Russia would almost destroy the Romans especially England.

"Count six things before the advent of the Day of Judgment :

1 My death
2 The conquest of Jerusalem
3 Mass deaths amongst you people, just as when sheep die in large numbers during an epidemic
4 Abundance of wealth to such an extent that if a person were to be given a hundred Dinars he will still not be satisfied
5 General anarchy and bloodshed, that no Arab household will be spared from it
6 Then a life of peace as a result of a peace agreement between you and the Banil Asfaar

(Romans) which they will break and attack you with a force consisting of eighty flags and under each flag will be an army of twelve thousand men
."

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

You will join hands with a Roman group and war with another. You will gain victory. At that time, you will be present in a plain of great mountains with plenty of trees. In the meantime, the Romans will raise the crucifix and refer the victory to it. At this, a Muslim will become angry and will pull the crucifix down, at which, the Romans will unite breaking all treaties with the Muslims.

The next thing to happen is a war between Rome and another enemy after which the Romans would suffer heavily. Muslims would fight with the Romans and defeat that enemy. It is after that that there would be the fight called Armageddon.

Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 6925
Mustaurid al-Qurashi reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:

The Last Hour would come (when) the Romans would form a majority amongst people. 'Amr said to him: See what you are saying? He said: I say what I heard from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). Thereupon he said: If you say that, it is a fact for they have four qualities. They have the patience to undergo a trial and immediately restore themselves to sanity after trouble and attack again after flight. They (have the quality) of being good to the destitute and the orphans, to the weak and, fifthly, the good quality in them is that they put resistance against the oppression of kings.

The companions were surprised or even shocked to hear that the Romans would be in majority as they would have suffered a lot in the war but they are quick to recover and they would fight back after which would be seen the Armageddon. Present day situation fits this perfectly. Russia has scrapped the cold war treaty and tensions between them and the west are high. They have a 20-year military friendship treaty with China and the Russian president recently stated that an attack on Iran would be considered as an attack on Russia. Things are building up for the Great War. Also, the Chinese are the majority and for the Romans to be in majority, there has to be a war and it does apear that the common enemy of the East would comprise of atleast Russia and China. It must be remembered that Muslims would conquer Rome before the coming of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). Romans are referred to as white people from Europe and a fight against Romans could include Canadians, Americans, Europeans and Australians. Muslims would also conquer India and as soon as it is done, Jesus (peace be upon him) would have returned. (http://www.ghazwatulhind.com/) The site is in Urdu but the message is that Allah would forgive the victors in the war with India, hand their leaders to the victors in chains and when they would go to help their Muslim brothers, they would find that Jesus (peace be upon him) has arrived. This is striking; the forgiveness of the victors. Present day Pakistani army and intelligence hasn’t done a job to be proud of. From this we now know that before the return of the same Messiah Jesus son of Mary, India and Rome (perhaps Europe) would be conquered by the Muslims.

Part 2

This part contains points presented by the Qadianis and Muslim responses to them. The part of Tawaffa is also used in this section but it has not been included here as it has already been addressed here.

"O people! I have heard that
you fear the death of your Prophet. Did any prophet before me live on so that I
should be expected to live on amongst you? Listen! I am about to
meet my Lord, and so will you. So I bid you to treat well the early muhajirs."
(Al-anwar ul-Muhammadiyya min al-Muwahib al-Ladinya, Egypt, p. 317)

This is perhaps the strongest point presented by the Qadianis but it still does not mean what they want it to mean. The Muslims were sad when Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had fallen ill and had declared that he was about to leave them. Adding to this, the Prophet said that no Prophet lived on amongst his followers (please pay close attention to the bold part). This is exactly what the Muslims believe; Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) did not live on amongst his followers and left them but did not die as Qur’an and Hadith are against it.

  1. "There is no one alive today but will be dead before a hundred years have passed over it." (Muslim, Kanz al-Ummal, vol. 7, p. 170)

  2. "The Holy Prophet said: ‘Allah sends a wind every hundred years which takes the soul of every believer’. This hadith is sound in transmission." (Mustadrak, vol. 4, p. 475)

The second Hadith is not a sound transmission and it is also against common sense. If it were to be accepted, it would mean that no Muslim could have a life of more than 100 years which is against simple observance. The correct interpretation is that the first Hadith applies to the immediate companions of the Prophet to whom the Prophet was speaking to and addressing. If we do look at it, we find that this prophecy was fulfilled and no companion of the Prophet, who personally saw and met him, remained alive till after 100 years of the Prophet’s death. Secondly, the death within 100 years refers to the people on the earth.

Those who doubt this explanation must read the Hadith about Dajjal who met a Christian named Tamim. Dajjal was in chains and said that he would come at a later time. Even if the Hadith presented by the Mirzais above is understood as they want it to be understood, it still goes against them according to the Dajjal story. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) also understood Dajjal to be a person and not a system as seen in the story of Ibne Sayyid. Those who argue otherwise blaspheme towards the Prophet (peace be upon him) claiming him to be wrong and themselves correct.

On the night journey, the Prophet (peace be upon him) saw many Prophets in heaven. If each and everyone had to die within 100 years, then they are also present where Jesus (peace be upon him) is present. If Mirzai logic is correct here, then the ones in heaven would have died after 100 years of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and become alive again. According to both, there is nothing that says that Jesus (peace be upon him) died on earth and would not return.

"Aisha (God be pleased with her) said that, in his illness in which he died, the Holy Prophet said: ‘Every year Gabriel used to repeat the Holy Quran with me once, but this year he has done it twice. He has informed me that there is no prophet but he lives half as long as the one who preceded him. And he has told me that Jesus lived a hundred and twenty years, and I see that I am about to leave this world at sixty’." (Hujjaj al-Kiramah, p. 428; Kanz al-Ummal, vol. 6, p. 160, from Hazrat Fatima; and Mawahib al-Ladinya, vol. 1, p. 42)

This is not just a weak Hadith but also a fabricated one. There is no need to discuss a fabrication but proof shall be given for it as well. Please look at the highlighted part.

This would mean that Ismail and Isaac (peace be upon them) died at young ages whereas the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that they lived to be in their 100s just like their father and predecessor. See tafsir Ibne Kathir for more details.

The deviants presented some quotations from Sharh Fiqh Akbar, Egyptian ed. and p. 99, English text from Al-Islam, published by the Fiji Muslim Youth Organization, vol. 4, Oct. 1974.

Please look at the names and the dates. It is funny that they even thought of using these. Imagine someone writing a book recently and using it to make his points about matters of the past!

"May the curse of God be upon
the Jews and the Christians who made the graves of their prophets into places of
worship."
(Bukhari, Kitab as-Salat, p.
296)

Jesus (peace be upon him) is not the only Prophet of the Christians. Secondly, the Qadianis believe that his grave is in Kashmir. This clear cut contradiction on their part only shows clear desperation to find as many points as they can but none of them carry any meaning of their understanding.

The deviants argue about Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) meeting Prophets on his journey to the heavens where he also saw Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). This is again desperation as they also reject his night journey and consider it just a dream!

Prophets who have passed away are in heaven and so is Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him), this does not mean that he died.

Another objection by the
deviants is that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) led all the Prophets in
prayer during his night journey and as per this, Jesus (peace be upon him) would
have ascended to heaven twice!

First of all it must be explained that the Kaaba in Makkah is a place of worship exactly below the Kaaba of the angels above (see tafsir Ibne Kathir). Maybe there is another sacred Masjid in the heavens as well. There is no problem with ascending twice. There is no rule against it. If Jesus (peace be upon him) did descend and then ascend, then so did all the Prophets. Does it make a difference if one ascends more than others? Remember the Prophet’s night journey; he descended to lower heavens and then went back as per the advice of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) regarding prayers and this happened quite a few times.

The cultists argue that the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) both said that Jesus and Mary (peace be upon them) used to eat food and they both passed away. It is claimed that the Prophet said this to the delegation from Najran. This is a clear misconception and has been cleared here under the last heading. Last two headings address the cultist points directly like the part two in this article. The Christians believe that both used to eat food and they also believe that both died. To this belief, it was said that at one hand they believe this and on the other hand believe that God is Eternal, Absolutely. If they were gods, then as per their beliefs, they both have passed away. This belief of theirs is a clear contradiction which is what the Qur’an and Hadith address.

Two different descriptions of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) have been alleged by the cultists and upon this allegation, they argue that there are two different Messiahs.

He is a man of medium height; of a ruddy, fair complexion; will be dressed in two pieces of died garment; and the hair of his head will appear as if water is trickling out of it, although it will not be wet. (Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Musnad)

He has curly red hair and wide shoulders. He will break the cross and abolish the jizya, and accept no other religion but Islam … [In his time] Nothing and nobody but God will be worshipped. He will practice Mohammed's law and belong to Mohammed's people. He will follow the Prophet even though he himself is a Prophet, because he saw him [Mohammed] on the night of Mi`raj. Therefore, he [Jesus] will be the most distinguished Companion. (Jalaluddin as-Suyuti, Nuzul `Isa ibn Maryam Akhir al-Zaman, 182)

The Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) said: "On the night of Isra' [his miraculous journey from Makkah to Jerusalem] I met Moses-he was a slim man with wavy hair, and looked like a man from the Shanu'ah tribe. I also met Jesus-he was of medium height and of a red complexion, as if he had just come out of the bath. (Sahih Muslim and Sahih al-Bukhari)

While sleeping near the Ka'bah last night, I saw in my dream a man of brown color the best one can see among those who are brown colored, and his long hair fell between his shoulders. His hair was lank, water dribbled from his head, and he was placing his hands on the shoulders of two men while circumambulating the Ka'bah. I asked: "Who is this?" They replied, "This is Jesus, son of Mary." (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Before I continue, let me point out that another Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) describes Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) as a muscular man with curly whereas (Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 55, Number 648) the one above describes him as a slim man with wavy hair. Now, can one argue that there are two Moses and one is yet to come? This is just extreme foolishness! There are a few possible explanations for the difference in appearance described; it could be that in one vision he saw Moses (peace be upon him) in an older age and in the night journey, he saw him as a younger man and therefore slim. Secondly, it could be that he is both slim and muscular but I believe that the former one is more likely as one is going to be young in heaven.

If we examine the above Aahadith, we see that only one man is described as Jesus son of Mary. He is described as ruddy (reddish brown) and fair (white) in the same Hadith (the first of the four above) which clearly refutes the idea that there are more than one Messiah. Besides, the Messiah is son of Mary who is the same Messiah son of the same Mary and therefore the question of two different people does not arise at all.

Moreover, if we observe the Hadith further we see that the ruddy color is seen at Kaaba in the dream and it is likely that he must be under the sun when his color appeared to be ruddy. Also, in the night journey, Jesus (peace be upon him) was in heaven where he would not be as one is on earth (toiling under the sun etc). When he would return, he would participate in Jihad and perform Hajj. After such a struggle, it is impossible that his white color does not experience tanning as seen in the vision by the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Lastly, if we analyze the words, we see that the brown color is appreciated. Mirzais have no explanation for this and their silence implies that this is a racist comment about the brown color. Why else would a color be praised? The answer is that earning through lawful means is much appreciated in Islam and it is the struggle of Jesus (peace be upon him) that is appreciated in the form of brown color as explained in the previous paragraph.

The fact is that it is only one person described in different ways. Another Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) narrated by a companion clarifies this deliberate situation created by the cultists:

Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 55, Number 650

Narrated Salim from his father:

No, By Allah, the Prophet did not tell that Jesus was of red complexion but said, "While I was asleep circumambulating the Ka'ba (in my dream), suddenly I saw a man of brown complexion and lank hair walking between two men, and water was dropping from his head. I asked, 'Who is this?' The people said, 'He is the son of Mary.' Then I looked behind and I saw a red-complexioned, fat, curly-haired man, blind in the right eye which looked like a bulging out grape. I asked, 'Who is this?' They replied, 'He is Ad-Dajjal.' The one who resembled to him among the people, was Ibn Qatar." (Az-Zuhri said, "He (i.e. Ibn Qatan) was a man from the tribe Khuza'a who died in the pre-lslamic period.")

As per this companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him), the other companions mixed up the description of the Messiah son of Mary and that of Dajjal. Anyway, as per all explanations, the Messiah is only one person and he is Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him).

Part 3

A different explanation involving a wild interpretation has been presented by a Mirzai relating to these Hadith. Javed Ahmed Ghamdi and his likes simply ignore it calling it a mistake and so do the Mirzais but one of them has attempted to give his own interpretation which is discussed below. The Mirzai claims are in brown with my explanations in teal:

"...Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour would not come until the Romans would land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people of the earth at that time will come from Medina (to counteract them). ..."

In the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAW), Rome was a vast empire comprised of many European nations. Hence, it would only be fair to conclude that the Europeans of today are the Romans of the time of Hazrat Muhammad(SAW), since Rome is only a small city today.

Syria also had different geographic boundaries in yester-years and the land of Dabiq is said to be north of Aleppo. I was able to locate Dabiq because a battle has been fought at Al-marj Dabiq.

But it is only fair that we take al-A'maq and Dabiq to be only notificational places, in the other Hadith the whole way between Syria and Iraq has been told to be the place where the Dajjal comes up.

Hence, from the start the Hadith is "susceptible of different interpretations".

The Hadith further goes on in this manner: "...When they will arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans would say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us..."

Now we get a definite thing from the Hadith... the call that the Romans (whoever they are or might be) would be specifically interested in fighting with the Muslims. They would understand Muslims as a declining power and they would like to crush the Muslims before they are able to pick their heads up.
The Hadith continues in this manner: "...(the Romans would say) Let us fight with them; and the Muslims would say: Nay, by Allah, we would never get aside from you and from our brethren that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army would run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third (part of the army). which would be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah's eye, would be killed and the third who would never be put to trial would win and they would be conquerors of Constantinople..."

So a war would commence between the two parties... we would not go into the details of whether this war would be of the sword, or of the pen, it would be physical or metaphorical... but what is clear is that it would be a tussle between the good and the bad, between the virtue and the evil.

Three groups are made out of the Muslims, one of which would run away from the fight... taking the wrath of Allah on themselves. They would ignore the war and would tend to their own desires and worldly things.

Then there would be those who would sacrifice their lives and leave their everything for the sake of Allah...
And there would be one group that would remain alive, interestingly the Hadith says that these people would not be tested and would emerge as conquerors. The interesting point is, that the conqueror must have taken part in the fight, but the Hadith clearly mentions that they would not "...be put to trial..." which seems very amazing to say the least. "...And as they would be busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, the Satan would cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your family. They would then come out, but it would be of no avail. And when they would come to Syria, he would come out while they would be still preparing themselves for battle drawing up the ranks..."

Now the Hadith is talking about those who would remain alive and would not be tested. They would begin taking the worldly materials and would leave the Jihad(struggle) to become relaxed and pleased with the good fortune that they have got.

During this interval between wars the Satan would announce that "The Dajjal has taken your place among your family."

interestingly... the Hadith is clearly telling us that the Dajjal would become the head of the families of the Constantinople conquering Muslims... he would stand at the place of the fathers, husbands, brothers and sons who would be busy enjoying the spoils of war and the good fortune their Martyr relatives had brought them.

The Hadith explains that: (after the announcement)"...Certainly, the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus (peace be upon him) son of Mary would descend and would lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah would see him, it would (disappear) just as the salt dissolves itself in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely, but Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ)..."

So, the Dajjal would be a fitna controlable only through prayer... and the Christ would direct the strayed Muslims towards prayer. (how he would descend is another case). The enemies of Allah would disappear... and it would not be because of Jesus(AS) that they would run-away because the Hadith says that "and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely"... so why would the enemy dissolve?
So, why would the enemy dis-solve as we already know that the coming of Jesus(AS) would have nothing much to do with the dis-solving of the enemy.

To my best knowledge, it would be the prayers and belief in Allah that would have re-kindled into the world-loving Muslims that would destroy the enemy. Let me quote a relevant Aayat from the Quran and a Hadith explaining the Aayat... and again they shall be about the last age:

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

[62:1] Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth glorifies Allah, the Sovereign, the Holy, the Mighty, the Wise.

[62:2] He it is Who has raised among the unlettered people a Messenger from among themselves who recites unto them His Signs, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and Wisdom though before that they were in manifest error;

[62:3] And He will raise him among others of them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

[62:4] That is Allah's grace; He bestows it on whom He pleases; and Allah is the Lord of immense grace.

Verse 3 from the above verses is of prime importance regarding the last days (Aakhirah) as it talks about the raise of Prophet Muhammad(SAW) in the "Aakhireen" whom the unlettered people haven't met.
So who are these "Aakhireen"... why is there a Prophet being sent to them?

These verses are explained clearly from two Ahadeeth from Sahih Bukhari:

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 420:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

While we were sitting with the Prophet Surat Al-Jumu'a was revealed to him, and when the Verse, "And He (Allah) has sent him (Muhammad) also to other (Muslims).....' (62.3) was recited by the Prophet, I said, "Who are they, O Allah's Apostle?" The Prophet did not reply till I repeated my question thrice. At that time, Salman Al-Farisi was with us. So Allah's Apostle put his hand on Salman, saying, "If Faith were at (the place of) Ath-Thuraiya (pleiades, the highest star), even then (some men or man from these people (i.e. Salman's folk) would attain it."

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 421:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
(Same Hadith)
The Prophet said. Then some men from these people would attain it."

So, clearly the Prophet sent to the "Aakhareen" would provide them with Iman, with belief in Allah and that would be the weapon that would kill the Dajjal!!!

An interesting point here is, that the Bukhari Hadeeth talks about Muslim people in Persia, whereas the Muslim Hadeeth talks only abut the location of the Roman army, the place of battle and that an (anonymous) army of the best soldiers shall come from Madina to fight the Romans instead of allowing the Romans to fight the Muslims. To whom the Romans would say that: "Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them;"

So, where would these "Aakhareen" be???

Taking into account the fact that Hazrat Abu Huraira(RA) is the reporter in both the Ahadeeth... one would prefer that the place would be Persia since the Romans would be travelling towards the East and they would encounter the best army near Arabia, after which the land of Persia starts.

So, the Maseeh(AS) would emerge in the Persians... or rather, the Muslim Persians.
The Muslim Hadeeth I have been trying to analyze ends with the following words: " ...but Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ)."

Hence, Allah would listen to the prayers of the Muslims led by the Maseeh(AS) and would kill the enemies (Interesting to note that Dajjal has been called plural in this Hadith, which means that the Dajjal might also be a nation). The enemies will be killed by Allah, Himself... and only Allah would show the blood on the weapon of the Maseeh(AS).

So that even the Maseeh(AS) would know that only Allah has won, and it was not the deeds of the Maseeh(AS) or the efforts of the Muslims.

Muslim response to the above explanation:

1. Who are the Romans?
The Mirzai has accepted that the Europeans of today are the Romans. It must be added that the Romans (Rumi) are the descendants of al-Rum the son of (or grandson of) Esau the son of Isaac. Therefore, we must expand this definition of Romans to modern day Canadian, Americans, Europeans, Australians and New Zealanders.

2. Syria of yesteryear.
The Syria or Sham at the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) consisted of modern day Syria, parts of Lebanon and parts of Palestine. The army that would land in Syria would be near Madina. Aahadith have been presented above which state that the Romans would come under 80 flags with 12,000 men under each flag (960,000 soldiers).

3. Who would the Romans fight?
The Romans would have come to pick up some men who they would have thought to be prisoners of Muslims but the Muslims would refuse to hand them over to them calling them as their brothers. These brothers would be Roman converts to Islam who would have joined the fight from the side of the Muslims.

4. This army would conquer Constantinople
This part has already been explained above and shall be explained here again. Said the Holy Prophet PBUH:"You will invade the Arabian Peninsula and God will grant it. Then Persia and God will grant it. Then you shall invade Ar-Rum (Europe) and God will grant it. Then you shall attack the Antichrist and God shall give him to you"The Messenger of God was then asked "which of the two cities will be conquered first - Constantinople or Rome?" and the Holy Prophet PBUH replied : " The city of Heraclius (Constantinople) will be conquered FIRST" This shows that the conquest of Constantinople and Rome are different. The majority of the people of this army would be from Khorasan belonging to bani Isra’il (western Pakistan and eastern Afghanistan): Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 6979 Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle (may peace he upon him) saying:

5. These people would not be put to trial
The Hadith above explains what this really means. They would conquer Rome without a trial and they would achieve success in whatever situation they would face. The above Hadith explains this very well.

6. Dajjal would then come
After the war, Satan would cry out that Dajjal has come to their families. The Mirzai claims that corruption is meant by Dajjal here but the fact is that they would immediately run towards their families which means that a human Dajjal would have literally come.

7. Jesus will descend at the time of prayer
This does not mean that Dajjal would be killed through prayer. The Hadith speaks of the Fajr prayer when Jesus (peace be upon him) would descend from the sky.

8. Dajjal is plural here?

Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 7034

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:

The Dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls.

Dajjal would have Shias from Iran with him. This explains the Hadith posted by the Mirzai that if faith were scarce, one from the Persians would surely find it. The Hadith state that the Mahdi would unite two large groups of the Muslims and the finding of faith refers to this unity.

Ali Ibn Abi Talib said:

"When the 'Support' of the family of Muhammad rises, Allah will unite the people of east and the people of west."

Ibn Asakir, as quoted in al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Ch. 11, section 1, p 252

9. The enemy would dissolve

The reason why Dajjal would dissolve is that Allah had promised earlier that the conquerors of Rome would not be put to trial and Allah would kill Dajjal without any problem for the Muslims. Also see the heading of “Prophet rejecting nations were destroyed” here.

10. Who would be the Aakhireen?
The verse states that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is for the companions of the Prophet and also for the Aakhireen (the last). This clearly shows that Jesus (peace be upon him) would not be a Prophet of the people then but he would also be a follower among the Aakhireen.

Part 4

For those who do not have the time to read the article above may read this section to know what it is all about.
